Plaid Identity Verification Pricing 2026
Plaid Identity Verification is bundled into Plaid's broader platform pricing. No standalone per-verification rate publicly disclosed. Best fit when Plaid is already used for account linking and bank-data access.
Plaid pricing at a glance
Quote-only. Identity Verification is bundled into Plaid's broader financial data platform pricing. No standalone published rate.
The bundling dynamic
Plaid does not market Identity Verification as a standalone product with a per-check rate. Pricing is part of a broader Plaid commercial that may include Auth (account linking), Balance (real-time balance), Income, Investments and others. Customers who already pay Plaid for account linking can typically add IDV at a marginal rate; standalone IDV procurement is rare.
What Plaid IDV is good at
- Integrated with bank-data linking. If your app already uses Plaid Auth, adding IDV in the same SDK reduces engineering work.
- US + Canada coverage. Strong in primary markets, expanding international.
- Document + selfie verification with ML decisioning. Standard mid-market feature set.
When Plaid IDV is not the right pick
- Standalone IDV needs. If you do not use Plaid for account linking, the platform-bundled pricing model probably is not in your favour.
- International workflows. Coverage outside US + Canada is weaker than Veriff or Sumsub.
- Regulated AML workflows. Sumsub and Shufti Pro have stronger published AML bundling.
Published-pricing alternatives
If you need a working cost model in an afternoon rather than a Plaid platform quote, these published-pricing vendors cover IDV directly:
- Didit $0.33 Full KYC bundle, 500/mo free.
- Veriff $0.80 Essential + $49/mo min.
- Sumsub $1.35 Basic / $1.85 Compliance with AML.
- Socure $0.80-$1.30 step-up workflow, US-centric.
